Vintage Chef offers a selection of vintage cookware and utensils aimed toward historical re-enactment or for those people who prefer to use vintage cookware.  In many cases items offered on Vintage Chef are vintage pieces that are centered around dutch oven or period cooking.

The owner, Mark Bridge, has been active in historical re-enactment and antiques for many years and is currently the Dutch Oven - Chuckwagon Chef and performer for the Smokey Hills Wilderness Retreat located in Osage, Minnesota.  Be sure to make the trip during the summer months to attend the Chuckwagon Dinner Show held every Saturday night.

About the grading of antiques on Vintage Chef.

We try to be as accurate in our grading as possible.  If there is a dent, ding, chip or other notable happenstance you will be made aware if it.  We welcome questions about any item so feel free to email Vintage Chef with questions.  If need be, we can provide extra photographs.

Levels of grade.

Mint - Like new - The same as it was on the store shelf a hundred years ago.
Excellent - (Near mint) A specimen in very good, above average condition.
Good Plus - In very good condition with only a few blemishes or signs of wear.
Good - Showing signs of age but in good serviceable condition.
Utility - Still works just fine but nothing to brag about.

Please note - Natural patina on a specimen is to be expected and does not necessarily detract from the value of a specimen.  By it's very nature, graniteware or enamelware shows signs of chipping and it is to be expected in most older pieces.
