Steam Cooker - Mrs. Kinneys VU153 Here is a very scarce Mrs. Kinneys Steam Cooker. The patent number for this specimen is 533,818 with the patent belonging to S.W. & C.A. Kinney of St. Louis, Missouri. This steamer stands 16 1/4" high and has a diameter of 9 1/2". It is constructed like a tall cylinder with bracket and hook assemblies to hold two shelves. Water would be boiled in the bottom of the steamer and circulated throughout to cook the food. Due to the nature of the cooking process it is difficult to find these in a condition this good. The only rusted area is at the top of the cooker near the hinge - the rest of the cooker is very clean. This would make a great addition to any vintage kitchen collection and is quite a conversation piece.
Flour Sifter - "Junior" VU150 The "Junior" flour sifter in Very Good condition. This is a nice, single hand mechanical flour sifter with "JUNIOR" Guaranteed Satisfactory - Made In U.S.A." embossed on the front of the sifter. The red painted handle show only the slightest wear and the sifter still retains much of it's bright tin finish.
Flour Sifter - Bromwell's Bee VU151 The Bromwell's Bee flour sifter in Very Good condition. This is a nice, early sifter with "Bromwell's BEE PAT No. 1,753,995" embossed on the front of the sifter. The handle has nice rolled edges and the crank knob still retains most of it's green paint.
Flour Sifter - Bromwell's Measuring VU152 The Bromwell's Measuring flour sifter in Very Good + condition. This is a nice, early sifter with "Bromwell's Measuring Sifter Guaranteed" embossed on the front of the sifter along with marks for up to 5 cups of flour. The handle has nice rolled edges and the crank knob still retains most of it's red paint.
Flour Sifter - Bromwell Extra Heavy VU149 The Bromwell Extra Heavy XXX flour sifter in Very Good + condition. This is an attractive sifter with a green painted handle and crank knob. This specimen still retains a large percentage of it's bright tin finish and is constructed of a heavier guage tin than usual.
Boiler - Water Kettle - J. M'Connell VU148 Here is a very attractive, primitive water boiler in Very Good + condition and made by J. M’Connell. The lid has an embossed patent date of May 23, 1876 - Cleveland, Ohio. Included with the kettle is a spout strainer with the patent date of 1896. This kettle is very interesting in it’s construction because of the inner shelf that is built into the kettle. The handle for the lid is a comfortable 1 1/8” in width and is nicely finished with a rolled over edge - the lid does have an area of rust thru to the lip but this area is not visible when the lid is in place and it has no effect on the function of the kettle. The kettle also features a nice copper bottom. There is one dent to the base as pictured and the kettle does have 2 pin hole sized holes near the base seem which could easily be repaired. This scarce kettle would be the perfect addition to any primitive kitchen utensil collection and would work perfectly in any historical re-enactment situation pertaining to the late 1800’s.
Soup Strainer - Tin VU147 A very nice soup strainer in Very Good condition. This strainer presents very well with a darkened tin patina and is still solid in every way. All edges are rolled over and the strainer has a handle length of 4 1/4". The handle still has the hanging loop intact. A nice addition to any kitchen utensil collection
Flour Sifter - Bromwell's Tole Painted VU146 Here is a nice Bromwell's crank flour sifter in Very Good + condition. This is an attractive piece because of the fact it has been tole painted - something that was not coomon to flour sifters. This sifter would make a great display piece for any kitchen.
Wooden Spoon VU135 A nice wooden spoon with an attractive patina and satin like finish. This spoon is in Good condition and has a total length of 15”. The bowl width is 2 1/8” and a depth of 1". This is an attractive primitive specimen with typical signs of use.

Tin Spatula VU145 A very nice vintage spatula with an attractive cut out in its blade and a green painted handle. This is a very clean specimen in Very Good + condition with no rust or cracking to the handle - and the green paint is worn just to the point that the beautiful wood grain shows thru. The blade has a width of 2 1/2" and a depth of 6". The turned wooden handle has a length of 4".
Wooden Spoon VU131 A very nice wooden spoon with great patina and an interesting grain pattern. This spoon is in Very Good + condition with no chips or cracks. The overall length of this spoon is 9 1/4" with a handle length of 6".
Flop Griddle - Stuart Peterson & Company VU132 Here is a very difficult to find kitchen collectible a Stuart Peterson & Co. flop griddle in Excellent Condition. The Stuart Peterson Company was one of the largest stove and hollow ware manufacturers during the mid to late 1800’s. This is one of the more interesting kitchen items that the company produced and you never see these being used any more. When placed on the top of a wood or coal burning range the entire griddle would be heated. Batter would be poured in the 3 circular pans in the lid and allowed to cook half way - at that point the lid would flipped and the bottoms of the cakes would be cooked and more batter could be poured into the top. This specimen is free of any cracks or chips and has a very attractive old cast iron patina. The griddle is 17 1/8” wide and 10 ½” deep. Each of the cake molds has a diameter of 4 ½” and the griddle stands 1 ¾” in height. This specimen would be a fabulous addition to any cast iron or kitchen utensil collection.
Treenware Masher VU129 Here is a beautiful, hand carved wooden masher. This fascinating specimen has a patina that only old treenware can garner. The handle end of the masher has an almost satin like feel to the hand. The wood has a very attractive rippled grain pattern around the circumference of the masher that resembles a wave pattern and there is a little ring of knots at the base of the handle. What a conversation piece!! There is an age crack on one side of this piece that adds real character. The overall length of this specimen is 14” with a diameter of 3 ¾” at the base tapering to 1” at the tip. This is a truly collectible piece and it would make a great accent piece for any room.
Scoop - Primitive VU128 An interesting scoop in darkened tin. This little scoop has character galore and a very interesting design. Close inspection shows it is made of one piece of tin and cleverly folded and soldered to make the scoop. This is truly a one of a kind item. The scoop has a total length of 5” with a width of 4”. The loop handle has a width of 1 ½”. This little scoop would make a great addition to any collection.
Slicer - Covell's VU127 The Covell’s cheese slicer if very good condition. This handy little gadget has adjustable cutting capability - simply slide the logo plate forward or backward to adjust the cutting depth. The over all length of this slicer is 6 ½” with a handle length of 3 ½”. The width of the cutter is 2 ¼”. A neat little gadget for any kitchen.
Slicer - Feemster VU126 Here is a very handy kitchen gadget - The Feemster Slicer. You simply slide the blade further up or down the frame to get the exact thickness you require for the particular food you're slicing. The slicer can be placed on any flat surface, a cutting board or a counter, for instance. You can use this to cut kernels off an ear of corn, to make french fries, slice apples for pie and more. Simple design ingenuity at its best and most frugal.
Scoop - Tin VU125 A tin scoop in Very Good + condition. This is a very nice little general store type candy scoop that still retains a large percentage of its bright tin finish. It is nicely designed with a flat platform on the bottom of the scoop that allows it sit flat on a table or counter. The scoop has an overall length of 6 ½” and a handle length of 2 ¼”. These scoops work very well in a flour or sugar crock and are quite collectible.
Sharpening Steel - Antler Handle VU124 A very attractive knife sharpening steel with an antler handle and sterling silver trim. This steel is in Very Good + condition with no chips or cracks. The overall length is 13 ¼” with a handle length of 5”.
Juicer - Ideal #2 VU123 A very nice Ideal #2 juicer manufactured by Stover Manufacturing of Freeport, IL. At one time the Stover Manufacturing Company was a supplier to Sears, Roebuck & Company. This juicer is made of nickel coated cast iron and is in Very Good + condition. The overall length of the juicer is 8 ¼” with a handle length of 5”.
Juicer or Reamer - The Kwicky Juicer VU122 Here is a nice example of a Kwicky Juicer manufactured by the Quam Nichols company of Chicago, IL. This circa 1920’s juicer/reamer was quite inventive in the way that you held the fruit in one position and then used the handle to turn the juicer. There is a little turn table built into the bottom that allows the juicer to spin freely. The overall length of the juicer including the handle is 9 1/2" with a handle length of 4 1/4". A fun kitchen collectible and a great conversation piece.
Vegetable Slicer VU121 This slicer is a very early, pre patent version of the Home Vegetable Slicer made by the Specialty Company of Catawissa, PA and was part of a de-acquisition of the Atwater Kent Museum in Philadelphia, PA. This is truly a wonderful specimen with a dark cherry colored patina and no cracks or chips. The slicer has 10 cutting blades that are still very sharp and have all of the teeth still intact. Especially interesting is the sliding cover on the slicer - some one in years past has sketched in a wreath pattern on its back and written in the name “Maggie”. Both the slicer and the pusher have the words “Pat. Apld. For” stamped onto them. This is a museum quality slicer that would hold its own in any antique kitchen utensil collection and it displays very well.
Cherry Pitter - Scott Manufacturing Company - Circa 1866 VU120 This cast iron cherry pitter is based on the original patent of H. Buckwalter of Kimberton, PA, 11/17/1863, as improved by William Weaver, Phoenixville, PA 5/15/1866. This specimen was manufactured by the Scott Manufacturing Company and the above patent dates are embossed around the perimeter (front) of the pitter. This type of pitter is very attractive with its cabriole legs embossed with a leaf design that design repeats itself on both sides of the hopper on the top of the pitter. This wonderful little pitter is in Very Good + condition with no rust or cracks. One of the thumb tabs on a wing nut that secures the hopper to the top of the pitter is missing but this would be very simple to replace with another vintage wing nut. With a height of 7” and a length of 10 7/8” this early cherry pitter would make a beautiful accent piece in any room and would make a great addition to any kitchen utensil collection.
Vegetable Slicer - The "Home Vegetable Slicer" VU119 The “Home Vegetable Slicer” from the Specialty Manufacturing Company of Catawissa, PA. This specimen is in Very Good + condition and still retains most of its original paper label stating the instructions and reading in part: “The Home Vegetable Slicer,” Pat. Feb 22, 1898. “Shove the sliding box with the palm of the hand. Hold potatoes and similar vegetables against the back of the box and press down on them with the fingers until making the last slice. For cabbage. Cut the head into angular pieces taking care that a piece of the heart is attached to each piece to hold the leaves together. Press on the piece of heart with the fingers and slice in to it.” This slicer has six slicing blades and the sliding box moves freely. The wood has a very pleasing patina and a smooth hand. The slicer has a length of 17 ½” and a width of 4 ¼”.
Revolving Grater - Houchin VU118 Here is a heavy duty, revolving grater, #712C, made by the Houchin Manufacturing Company. This specimen is a large, heavy duty model. This shelf mount, Houchin vegetable grater is in Very Good ++ condition. This wonderful specimen has a gorgeous wooden grip on the elegantly turned handle. The embossed, revolving grating drum states "HOUCHIN MFG CO‘ NY. - PAT JAN 11 '70 - APL 9 '72" and the manufacture date of “May 29, 77.” The drum is 6 1/4" diameter. This revolving grater was patented by Thomas W. Houchin, of Morrisania, N.Y.. Patent No. 126,144. According to the patent information, this "Vegetable-Grater" is complete and is described as a "cutting-surface" and as a "grating-surface" and represented for the purposes stated. {As a cutting-surface, formed of perforations, each having two lateral triangular cutters or teeth with an open throat in front. As a grating-surface, used as described.} This grater makes a great accent piece and is certain to be a great addition to any kitchen utensil collection.
Slicer - Primitive VU117 Here is a beautiful example of a handmade, primitive slicer and it has character galore. Everything about this specimen exemplifies care and craftsmanship, including the interesting grain pattern in the oak board used for its construction. Note how each of the cutting teeth on the back of the slicer are individually inset into the wood. Note the workmanship on the wooden wedge that holds the slicing blade in place. The cut outs for the handle and round hanging hole still show the swirls created by an old auger type bit and there is still evidence of the crossed kerf marks left by a hand saw. Other details include gently beveled sides and the initials LzB on the face of the slicer. This is a museum quality specimen that will hold its own in any antique kitchen utensil collection and it would make an excellent accent piece in any room.
Slicer - Morris Metric VU116 The Morris Metric adjustable slicer in very good condition. This specimen still retains most of its bright tin finish and the sliding, adjustable cutting blade still slides freely and is very sharp. The cutting depth ranges from paper thin to 3/8 of an inch. The Morris Metric has an interesting design including the thumb tab at the top of the slicer. A very nice kitchen collectible.
Antique Tin Scoop VU115 A large antique tin scoop in Very Good condition. This specimen has an over all length of 9 1/2" and a handle length of 3". The scoop bowl still retains most of it's bright tin finish and has a width of 4 1/2". This nice scoop is free of any dents, dings or rust and would look perfect sitting on top of a flour crock or bin.
A fine example of a Landers, Frary & Clark food grinder in Very Good + condition. This specimen still retains much of it's nickel finish. Please note the handle - L, F & C seemed determined to set a record for embossed printing on a kitchen utensil. You will notice every patent date that applies every where in the world. Quite a conversation and accent piece.
Cake Turner - Mechanical VU113 A mechanical cake turner in Very Good + condition. This is one of those fascinating kitchen utensils that shows a lot of inventiveness. This works like a normal spatula or turner but the flipping action is achieved by squeezing the wire handle. This causes the business end of the turner to flip 45 degrees and flip your pancakes. The hinge assembly on this specimen is in like new condition - these are often worn out and sloppy. A great kitchen collectible and a fun conversation piece.
Meat Saw VU102 A vintage meat saw in Very Good + condition. Although there is not much call for these any more in the home kitchen, a meat saw is a required item for a restored chuck wagon. Saws like this also make great accent pieces for any period kitchen. This specimen has wonderful rust free patina and a sculpted wooden handle that is free of any chips or splitting. A must have for any vintage kitchen.
Tongs VU99 Kitchen tongs in an extra large size and made of tinned steel. This specimen still retains much of its bright tin finish. These tongs are in Very Good + condition and measure in at 15" in length. Tongs of this size are great for lifting an entire roast or chicken. The hoops on the handle measure 4" to allow using one hand per side when lifting heavier items. These tongs would be at home in any serious cooks kitchen.
Bread Dough Raiser - Proofing Pan VU107 A vintage bread dough raising or proofing pan in Very Good + condition. These are very difficult to find this pristine. The interior of this dough raising pan near mint and the exterior retains nearly all of its bright tin finish. There are no dings or dents and only a small amount of cleanable, spotty rust along the rim on the foot of the pan. This pan would hold its own in any vintage kitchen utensil collection.
SOLD A lemon or lime wedge squeezer designed by Adolf Wagner, Mussbach, Germany. The initial U.S. patent was issued April 14th, 1936. It is designed like a little hand held song bird and by lifting the tail a wedge of lemon or lime can be inserted into the body. When the tail is squeezed together juice will pour out of the little birds beak. This specimen is in Near Mint condition. S
Wire Whisk VU104 A vintage wire whisk in Very Good + condition. This is a hard to find example with tight wire binding on both the interior and exterior wires. The overall length of this whisk is 10 3/4" with a handle length of 3 1/2".
Lemon Squeezer VU105 An interesting example of a lemon/lime squeezer in Very Good + condition. This squeezer functions like a pliers - simply place the fruit in the device and squeeze the spring loaded handles. The overall length of this specimen is 6 1/2" with a handle length of 3".
SOLD A "Tidy" Spoon Rest in Very Good condition. This one is great for any "retro" kitchen - made of aluminum with a copper coloration. This presents very well and has no scratches or dents. The Tidy Spoon Rest stands 1/2" high by 2 1/2" wide and 5" long.S

Wire Ware Basket VU97 A nice tinned wire ware basket in good condition. This is a basket that could be used as a fryer. This would make a great catchall in a kitchen or in any other room. This has a very interesting weave - almost like a spider web. The handle length on this basket is 5" with basket diameter of 5" and a depth of 2 3/4".
Tea Strainer - Woven Brass VU98 A very interesting tea strainer made of woven brass. The business end of this strainer is constructed in a manner that resembles a miniature brass basket woven with 32 courses of fine brass wire. The little basket has a diameter of 2" and is attached to a wire handle with a length of 3 1/8". This is a fascinating little specimen and a great conversation piece.

Coffee Carafe Carafe01 Here is an attractive coffee carafe complete with its votive candle holder. This carafe sports attractive cabriole legs and an interesting Greek Key and vine pattern around the top band. This specimen is in very good + condition with no chips to the carafe or dents to the metal base. An interesting collectible.
Carving Set KS12 A basic but attractive carving set including a flesh fork, carving knife and steel. The handles appear to be faux antler but the pieces have a good heft to them. The flesh fork has a length of 10 1/2", the knife has a length of 13" and the steel has a length of 12 1/4".
SOLD A nice flip griddle in very good condition. This little gem has three flip compartments all with sound hinges. This specimen has a very pleasing old wood stove patina, presents very well, and would make a great addition to your kitchen collection. A hard to find item.
Butcher Knife KS08 An attractive vintage butcher knife in very good + condition. This knife has a blade length of 7 3/4" with a cutting depth of 1". The beautifully grained handle has a length of 4 1/4" with a depth of 3/4' and a width of 5/8". The scales are good and secure and display well with the large brass rivets.
Antique Mechanical Jar Lifter VU40 A rare bent wire jar lifter. The unique design of this specimen allows for single hand use - simply pull up on the first cross wire to open the grasping assembly on the bottom of the lifter and then apply minimal downward pressure to keep the lifter in place. This makes a great wall hanger and is sure to be a conversation piece.
Antique Chopping Knife - Zenith Chopper10 A nice Zenith chopping knife with double tangs and a blade with a mild crescent shape. A good clean specimen with a keen cutting edge and distinct logo and with a nice pewter like patina.
GBN / IDA Revolving Food Grater RG01 GBN, Guarder Bing Nuremberg, was founded in Nurnberg by the brothers Ignaz and Adolf Bing in 1863. Initially the company made kitchen utensils and progressed to metal and tin toys in the late 1800s. This revolving or mechanical food grater is in very good condition with original paint and bright tin. It works as good as new and would make a wonderful accent piece in any room.
Bread Raiser BR01 A bread dough raiser in a larger size - probably of the restaurant or bakery variety. This specimen is in very good condition with no dents or dings and still retains a very nice finish. The interior is rust free with the exception of a small amount on the very bottom of the bowl.

Antique Chopping Knife Chopper04 An excellent example of an early, circa 1870, chopping knife with a stylistic black painted wood and brass handle. Each of the two long tangs ascend into the brass end caps. The crescent shaped blade on this knife still has a keen edge and the dark brown patina so common to old steel. A true collectors piece.
Antique Chopping Knife Chopper05 An antique chopping knife with hollow cast iron handle. This handle is a little wider than most and fits comfortably in the hand. Good and solid in it's construction, this specimen still has years of usefulness and great collectors value.
Antique Chopping Knife Chopper06 A very nice example of a circa 1850 chopping knife, probably of English origin. This specimen is interesting with it's double tang construction. Each of the tangs are broader in their center and each has a cut out in it's middle. The blade has two circular notches in it's top. A great addition to any collection.

Wire Egg Whip - Red Handle VU31 A spring egg whip with a turned wood, red painted handle in very good condition. The red paint on this whip is still vibrant in color and any chipping is very limited. It is difficult to find these in a condition this good. The overall length of this whip is 11 1/4" with a handle length of 6 1/4".

Wire Whip - "The Sensible" VU24 An early heavy wire whip "The Sensible" from the late 1800's. This specimen is in very good shape and retains a good percentage of it's bright tin finish. Heavy for it's size, you can tell these were built to stand the test of time. A great addition to any collection.
Beater / Potato Masher Convertible VU23 A beater or whip that converts to a masher. The business end of this tool pivots from a flat "beating" position to an upright "mashing" position. A great addition to any kitchenalia collection.
Egg Beater - A & J Archimedean VU22 An A&J Archimedean drill mixer or beater in very good condition. This mixer works by pushing down on the spring loaded handle which causes the beater blades to spin. The spring tension then pushes the handle back upward to repeat the process. Really quite effective. A great conversation piece a very useable.
Pastry Blender - Androck VU72 An early six wire, Androck pastry blender with a turned handle. The comfortable handle still retains much of it's red paint. Advertisements and trade catalogs of the period always showed pictures of this pastry blender with seven wires rather than six. Patent date of January 12, 1929.
Cruller or Potato Frying Basket VU73 A Cruller or Potato frying basket in very good condition. These were designed to be used with a deep frying pan for the cooking of Crullers. The pan and basket patent date was July 8, 1879. These baskets display beautifully and make a great catch all.
Chopper VU71 A nice chopper in very good condition. This specimen has a pewter like patina and displays nicely. The round handle has a diameter of 3/4" and an overall length of 4". The sausage shaped chopping blade has a width of 5 7/8" and is attached to the handle with a wishbone shaped tang.
Antique Strainer VS1 An eye catching small strainer in darkened tin. Free of any dents or dings, this strainer stands 2" tall and has a width of 3 3/4" with a 2 1/4" foot. The handle measures 3" long to the end of the hanging hoop. This would look wonderful hanging in any kitchen or for an accent piece in any room.
Tin Scoop Scoop02 A primitive dark tin scoop in very good condition. This specimen has no dents or dings and has nice solid solder work. The strap handle has a width of 3/4".
Butter Paddle VU21 A nice wooden butter paddle with great patina. This specimen has colored over the years to a light cherry finish and is nice and smooth to the hand. Notice the nice grain configuration in the bowl. Free of any dings or cracks this would make a great wall hanger.
Scotch Hands VU20 An older set of Scotch Hands in very good condition. This set is noteworthy for the smaller rolling surfaces. Very attractive patinated maple with a smooth finish. A very nice set.
Wooden Fork & Spoon - Schoeneberger's Bakery & Delicatessen ADV01 A great spoon and fork set advertising Schoeneberger's Bakery & Delicatessen. The script on each says "Schoeneberger's Bakery & Delicatessen - MO-nroe 6-4076 - 1640 W. Chicago Ave. - "Quality Is The Secret of Our Success". This set is in very good condition with no cracking or splits.
Apple Corer - Hayward VU80 A hand held, T handle apple corer. There is an embossed letter H on each end of the handle. This style was patented by Melville Hayward on Jan 23, 1917.
Whisk - Large heavy steel Whisk01 A beautiful heavy steel whisk in a restaurant size. This isn't one of the wimpy, floppy ones that you find so often these days. The wire loops are made of a heavy gauge steel. The handle is also wire wrapped and is a comfortable 4 1/4" in length. This specimen has a pleasing pewter like patina and displays very well. A great addition to any kitchen arsenal.
Tin Scoop Scoop01 A very well made, clean primitive tin scoop. This specimen has an elongated bowl with a slight taper toward the end. All edges are folded over and all of the solder joints are sound. The strap has a width of 1/2" and a diameter of 3/4".
SOLD This ice cream cornet has a seemless drawn steel bowl and a cast handle. The spinning blades on the inside of the cornet are made of brass. This is the size 12 cornet. A great addition to any collection.
Antique Vegetable Cutter VU06 A vintage vegetable cutter with two blades of varied depth. This cutter is very good condition and displays nicely. The cutter has an overall length of 9 1/2" and a width of 3 1/8"

Thermometer - Taylor Roast Meat VU76 A true kitchen collectible - The Taylor Roast Meat Thermometer complete with its original, green painted wooden container. The thermometer measures temperatures from 100 to 200 degrees as well as the increments from rare to well done. The nearly complete label also has instructions for the proper cooking temperatures for different types of meat. This would make a great addition to any kitchen utensil collection.

Apple Peeler / Corer VU93 A nice EKCO apple peeler and corer combination in Very Good + condition. A clean specimen with an attractive wooden handle with black and cream colored highlights. There is a small amount of crazing to the varnish on the handle.

Georges Codfish Box ADV02 A charming little one pound Codfish box from the Gorton Pew Fisheries Company. The top of the box states "1 lb. Net When Packed - THE WINNER - Georges Codfish - Packed By Gorton-Pew Fisheries Co. - Glouchester, Mass." This little box sports dovetailed corners, is free of any cracks and has a lid that slides easily. This is a great little display piece or a great trinket box.
Sharpening Steel - F Dick KS03 An early F. Dick sharpening steel in very good + condition. This beautiful steel sports an ornate turned wooden handle with a hanging hoop. The overall length of this steel is 13 1/4" with the sharpener having a length of 8 1/2" with a width of 3/8" at its widest point. A great addition to any knife collection.
